I've not read White Noise, though I hear it's quite good. I tried to read Don Delilo's huge book Underworld, but I never made it past the chapter in which Jackie Gleason, J. Edgar Hoover, and Frank Sinatra (I think) are attending a Yankees game together. I should revisit him. He's rather like John Ashbery, for me. Everyone says I should like him, but whenver I read him, I think, "What's the point here? What am I missing?"
