Overhead, without any fuss, the stars were going out.

Ugh. The older I get, the more of a conspiracy theorist I become. How else to explain the complete disregard for human life shown by Bushie theocrats denying that condoms not only provide protection against AIDS but currently constitute "the single most effective tool available to protect someone from getting or spreading the AIDS virus."

I'm actually going to get up off my duff and write about this to the government address listed at the bottom of the article.

It may not be new to you, but it's new to me. RAR told me about Postsecret last night. She said, "When I saw the Star Wars postcard, I knew you would love it."

(For the record, I did over the tsunami victims. But I also shed some tears for Anakin, for Padme, for the Jedi and of course most especially for the younglings.)

My own secrets feel so secret and yet so obvious that I am afraid to send them in. Because I know everyone will know right away that they're mine. Or is that the whole point? Does everyone think exactly that the world over?

Because there's no reason abstinence can't also be FUN.
